"Torn Squares"
My Fourth Simple Shape Based Abstract. I like to do an occasional Abstract to round out my portfolio. A series of various colors of rotating squares, painted wet on wet and then sprayed with water again after each square was painted. I let the paint do its thing. Due to the extremely soaked paper, and especially the second spray, The paper buckled into three valleys and ridges that caused streams to form. I let the painting partially dry and then tilted it vertically and also horizontally to empty the streams into runs across the diffuse squares. I used almost every color of paint in my hand mulled pallet, except for where SFE was similar to NEP.
